does magic find only increase the volume/quantity of rare/unique drops

or does it increase the quality of the drops too?
for example with 500+ mf are you more likely to find good stat items like visio, tri res boots, good modded rare rings, amulets etc


the only reason im asking is i was doing travi runs with my goldfindbarb which happens to have huge mf too, and i was finding quite a few rare armors that rolled like 2s with semi decent mods
was just curious wether its coz of the huge mf, or wether it was just lucky

You get the same base item drops but those items are more likely to be blue yellow green or gold, and less likely to be white. So to answer your question higher mf will result in more quantity. The quality of the yellow item is not affected by mf. It's a random roll.

More items means more chances to roll something gg. In other words, Mf doesn't affect the chances per roll. Only the number of rolls you get.

with over 500% mf you start to see el runes in classic (thought not to be possible)
