I forget exactly but Chaos was dangerous for melee I think lords could cast iron maiden making you one shot yourself.
I first started diablo 2 in 2003 I think my first character was a clay golem dim vision hybrid nec couldn’t get past act 3 normal lolol

And when I finally bought expansion and converted my classic characters thinking I had good gear showing off my rare ornate plate and grim helms to see tal armor blew my mind

ya there used to be iron maiden in chaos so barbs would just buff and leap/howl and everyone used an act1 merc w/ that holy freeze bow rune word

Lol my first char was a foh din who also zealed with aldur's weapon. Took me forever, about 2 hours, to kill nightmare ancients.
