I am thinking about what would be the most ideal Mf score. I've already tried with mf points above 480, but there was hardly any drop. I took it down to 350 but it didn't change much.

I read a lot that, in principle, between 174-179 is the most perfect.

What do you think about this?

My actual opinion is that Mfing is overrated. Go for 99 and you’ll find lots of good shit.

You should make sure to bring about 200-250mf in minimum. After that, it is about balancing kill speed and mf. There is no point in having 700mf and no skill speed.
The difference between 350 and 480 is not that big. You still need luck for the good stuff to drop...after all I am certain you get plenty of bad uniques to drop.

Kill as much stuff as quickly as you can on a player count as high as you can (think hmerdin / light sorc / blizz sorc). There is no "have this much mf to always find good items". The order goes
Kill stuff quickly on P1, increase DPS to a point where you can kill stuff quickly on p8, add mf in (200 is a decent amount, but it's by no means a requirement. If you need everything to increase kill speed, here's a few easy items to use in order to increase mf: 7*7 mf charms, gheeds, enigma. Boom, you're at > 150 mf without losing kill speed).

Or just make a week barb with a ton of mf and 75% find item to slaughter P1 (this is the most efficient way of farming items if done correctly).

agree with BarrinTyphon no more than 300-350. Also remember your helper can add to your mf total so good stacked helper that has kill power can add up quickly if he kills.

cows if you have mf can be good in nm . normal not so good. hell later on better. so many dead can lead to lot of stuff.
