name change link from blizzard says the name is taken even though i know it's not? (tried directly after deleting name & staying logged off the char needing name change for 10+ mins)
has anyone been able to name change recently with a name they already own?

Ok it’s a bit tricky but


You need to let your name expire like say you have the name Dad

Dad expires in 10 days , once it says < character is expired > then you can try to rename your character ( it usually takes 1 day after it says name expired )

While name is expired nobody can take your name ( but you must rename the char within 2 days )

Deleting right away the name doesn’t work anymore sadly

ty for clarifying that it must be "expired" for 2 days and to leave it expired while attempting the name change from blizzard (so name isn't taken by somebody else)
i'll try this see how it goes but still have to wait 10 days to find out lol.. a bit ridiculous trying to rename if this is the case but good to know, have to mark it as a calendar date.

can give my u "Jah" and "ber" for 20k 90lvl+91maybe idk
