I believe the drop system in d2 have some weird time lock mechanism to it. Sometimes you get very weird drops. Sometimes certain items drop in spades, sometimes they just never. It's not purely random. I wish someone could read the script codes for the game and the way it connects to the internet or something and check it properly.

Make sure you don’t have full tomes in your inv. The fewer scrolls present in each tome gives you better odds of key drops. Having no tomes is worse than having two half full tho

yea i read something about that from reddit as well, it would be a mathematical anomaly to not get a single drop from 100+ kills of each, so there has to be something wrong with the code
