Wondering what you all think - is it better to use Maras for the +2 all skills (factors into CTA boost) and +30res, or a 2/20 skiller/fcr amulet for the faster FCR less res/life/mana?

How do you all like to play this scenario out..? And what about PvP and PvM? Are they situational?

If you need fcr then the fcr amu is best.
There is no universal answer.
All depends on your overall build/gear setup

I use mara as long as i get to 125fcr on hdin...

Freeing up a ring slot is super valuable, and depending on the mods of the amulet it can be better than Maras.

Maras, Hoto, and Shako are all the convenient choices. They're good for a while, but eventually many builds will usually want something better or more specific if they want to compete in PvP or aim for BIS.

You want something that works well, pretty cheap, and requires no thought? Hoto, Maras Shako. Want optimal, but specifc and more damage? Get the 2/20 Amulet and Circlets.

so in your opinion is it worth the -2 to BO from CTA? ive got a 2/10/mana/15allres ammy right now but wasn't sure if the loss of life/res was worth it

A 2/10 isn't worth the loss unless it specifically changes your build where you don't need a fcr ring slot and can fit in something useful instead. Otherwise just use Maras. The end goal is really a 2/20 though, at least for many casters. Sorc can probably stick with a 2/10 or Maras given how easy it is to obtain 105 FCR.
