yea but i was thinking of aura stacking for summons more auras better dps ect ect for boss kills

Yes thats why A2 merc best.

A5 merc wears only one 2h sword and dosent have any main aura himself

E/ I read in resurrected you can get A5 merc version with dual one-hand swords tho.. but still the merc not having aura so A2 merc is still best probably.

Imo infy merc for higher bossen clean and pride golem is still the nicest combo.
