Still viable? Ive played some with infinity and shako and it seems alright. Whats the general consensus here?

I mean it deal so much damage that of course you can.. you still have to be selective about areas since you no longer remove lightning immunities.

Nothing beats a 200 fcr lite sorc.

Except for a 117 fcr light sorc

On my SP Grailing I used a L/CL sorc with infinity merc and crescent moon. Farming p5 chaos (seal pop) with avg 2 min run times, so not bad. Once i get griffons I will probably switch to nova/es. Current dmg isnt the highest using crescent moon but its currently faster than HOTO at the moment. Lightning immunes in chaos were hard to kill without the -LR from crescent moon. Once i get the -LR from a griffons (some day) i can get hte + skills from HOTO back and be even better off.

On Bnet i often used a simple nova sorc for key farming on p1. Even without infinity or griffon it did well, only needed to save and exit against light immune Nihl

This. Basically you need -elr for higher player settings/group games, but it's not as noticable on p1
