Basically a boss killer merc. Need for P8 Chaos to kill Diablo ideally. My idea:

- Obedience (40 Crushing Blow / 30 All Res)
- Treachery (45 IAS / FHR BP’s / Fade by the time Diablo fights)
- Gface (35 Crushing Blow)

Problem: No Life Leech.

What do you guys recommend? Could go andys and add a 40/15 but no extra CB for boss kill - could BER the andys but diablos fire prolly wreck em. Maybe a whole different setup I haven’t thought about..

Thoughts?

EDIT: I meant 30/15 Ruby Jewel of Fervor , not 40/15.

You want the merc as a boss killer in p8 game, so most of your dmg will be the cb. Instead of a really expensive 40/15, a 20ish/15 would do just about the same. or a 40ed jewel without the 15 ias, depending on the breakpoint you are looking for.



I doubt that 90% of the playerbase ever gets close to getting a 40/15. I won't stop them from putting it into an andy, just as i won't stop anyone from putting 6 zod runes into a phaseblade





If you already have a 30@ obedience, you most likely won't need the fire res jewel to be perfect. Don't be obsessed with getting perfect values for your items, if 1 or 2 more lvls on the merc would do the trick of getting him to max res. Especially since you have treachery.
Perfect items are just so much more expensive

Thanks for the input dude - definitely taking into account. Just want whatever kills bosses fast.

Looking into A5 Merc stats now as well

I had tested Obedience on my Blade Fury Assassin once. I found it was not a good weapon as it barely hit even with enchant and - def.

Infinity was way better than Obedience, which aura reduces mob's defence significantly. I believe your golem can hit more with its aura. Oh, it has 40 CB too.

As a helm, Andy, Gaze or even Tal mask works.

I believe Corpse explosion deals 50% of its damage as fire damage, so infi should help with that as well.
I had a nec and tested it, but it's too hard to see if there is any difference, since with Amp Dmg and CE the whole screen gets deleted anyway^^

The -25% fire res only applies to the merc's damage. Just like the -45 to -55% light res reduction of infi.
Not sure, probably still infi because of the high defense reduction ( more consistent cb hits and lifeleech ). For 1-3 player games it is fine, but i never solo'ed bosses in P8 games
