Hello there! I’m looking to make a Horker WW Barb specifically for Trav HR farming and want you to rate my setup!

Some notes: I’m not interested in the GF Warcry Barb, it’s a bit boring for my taste. Also, I’m prioritizing Clear Speed / Survivability over Max MF.

Barb:
- Helm: Arreats (Um’d)
- Chest: Enigma
- Mainhand: Grief PB
- Offhand: 6 isted PB
- Gloves: Lay on Hands / Chances (not sure)
- Belt: Goldwrap / String (not sure)
- Boots: Gob Toe / War Travs (not sure)
- Amu: Highlord
- Ring 1: Dwarf
- Ring 2: Fcr / dual leach
- Weapon Swap: 2x Suicide Branch
- Inventory: Anni / Gheeds / Max Dmg AR / MF

Merc:
- Kiras (Ral’d)
- Templars Might (Ral’d)
- Reapers Toll (I’m good with the cold dmg)

Up in the air about certain items, the idea is to weapon swap with suicides and an FCR ring to hit the 105 BP and still have +skills for BO and Hork. The charms I’ll just feel out if I need more damage and that sentiment is shared with some other gear choices.

I can't say anything about the gears, but I remember someone said there are two different drop tables for the mobs.

I wonder if mf affects HR's drop rate 🤔

if you are trying to just get hrs, all you need to focus on is clearing speed. horking trav is for gold finding, you'd be better off clearing pit, tombs, temples and chaos to try and find hrs and you don't need an mf build to do it. at minimum I would put last wish pb on instead of the 6x ist pb, so you don't have to worry about your res and you could replace the um in arreats for an ist or an ed jewel. if you are not doing mf and not gf, nagel will be better for you than dwarf. you can get 20ias/cb gloes with 25 mf on them instead of LOH and then you are only down 15mf from chancies and you get ias and cb plus some life.

so really, before finalizing your gear, you need to finalize how you are going to use the character.

First the game calculates whether or not an item drops.
Then it calculates what item it is (if it's a rune, then the calculation is done and the rune drops).
If it's an item that can be magic, it rolls to see if it's a unique. Fail -> set item? Fail -> Rare item? Fail -> Magic item? Fail -> normal/socketed
Still somewhat simplified, but that's about it. Mf doesn't affect rune drops at all


About the setup:
If you want clearspeed, get rid of the 6 isted pb and get a second grief. Take LoH for the 350% increased dmg to demons; Fire res is a nice bonus. Don't use goldwrap. WT for the dmg/movespeed/str/vita; MF is a nice bonus. I'd say forget the 3max dmg charms and focus on ar/life/res(if needed) - 3 max really doesn't do a lot considering grief gives you at least +340 min dmg +340 max dmg. Ring1 could be a rare mana ring with fcr or leech, unless you really want the fire absorb.

Merc:
The 2x ral + kira really confuse me. Why 2x ral? Wouldn't 1 um do the trick to get to 90 allres? That would give you one additional socket for whatever you like

I have a Light Sorc that I EZ mode most everything in the game (infinity) for Uniques and Runes, Javazon for P8 optimized Chaos / Eldritch public games (nigma / infinity) so I’m really looking to just have an alternative way to play the game. Travs got pretty good Rune Drop table so I thought I’d made this niche character to give me a new way to play the game, If that makes sense. Gold finding just doesn’t do it for me.. BUT if I’m playing the game and in Trav, the gold will be found 🥳.

Love the gear recommendations, added them to my sheet and will be crunching some numbers! Thank you!




Extra FR for the conviction aura so I’m still 90 even after - this is just to keep homie up no matter what. IAS jewel wouldn’t get to next JPS BP, but I could go in with one Ral and tear survivability during conviction t - if he’s fine do an ED jewel! Thanks for asking that - got me thinking!
