Good day everyone. I am building an aura-din (Holy Freeze/Holy Shock) and am wondering about dexterity and where best to use the points. I only ever use enough points in strength for gear, so the rest would go to dex and vitality. Also, I am confused as to how Holy Shield fits into all of this.

Thank you for any help

simple answer: cast Holy Shield, open character screen into dexterity until your block chance reaches 75%. remaining points vita. repeat for every level-up (usually 2 dex/3 vita)

more complex answer:
chance to block / % = shield block * (dex - 15) / (char level * 2)
this means that for a 75% chance to block, you need dex according to
dex = 150 * char level / shield block + 15
shield block refers to the value displayed on the shield plus the increase of Holy Shield or certain items like Guardian Angel. be careful to check the shield value BEFORE you cast the spell (or equip the items, respectively), since the displayed value can is capped at 75% even it is higher...

additionally, Holy Shield gives your paladin a much faster block rate (i.e. animation gets shortened)
