Is it worth it to max redemption? Does it change much?

I'm running a FOH pally and have extra points.

One point is fine, skills from gear and inventory will be enough to buff it.

Honeslty, no. Extra points always do better in +max resist.

Also. This is a great opportunity for me to say this ladder I made a hammerdin with a phoenix shield (lv16 redemption always on) and I have to say it makes me *Invincible*. Obviously damage suffers a little and resistances have to be made up a little elsewhere but this also enables an A5 merc with Plague for cleansing aura (I did have a lawbringer for sanc aura but it just became annoying so switch to grief for 2nd). Just beautiful.

you know what a good alternative to that is?

using an actually useful shield and putting 1 point into redemption.

you could max redemption and use phoenix at the same time and also use one on act 3 merc
and call yourself the "RedeemerDin" and run around evaporating corpses in front of those silly hork barbs in chaos runs
and use this ofc

I always do this with my Hammerdin, and equip Reaper's Toll on merc.

That's great and all, until your fingers are rubbed raw from constantly switching between 3-4 hotkeys instead of 2

Just my opinion, you could call me lazy and I wouldn't be offended. It's just instead of pressing a button to heal (like with potions) I am just constantly healed all the time without thinking about it.

I general, I find it a lot more enjoyable and less worrying about death playing this way. To each their own! I could also run a bunch more +skills gear and do 16k damage, but my 12-13k works just fine.
