Can you log in to USEAST realm?


For two days:
I have been getting the error: "Diablo II was unable to connect to the realm server. The realm you have selected may be unavailable or you may be encountering connection issues. Please make sure you internet connection is working properly and/or your firewall port has 6112 open."

I have made no changes to firewall/installs/router/isp etc...

Bnet forums says it's a VPN specific error but I am not running any VPN/Proxy Servers nor have I ever.

Netstat in command prompt isn't showing a connection to the normal servers within the 6112 port.

the error is showing at the character screen within bnet instead of my characters... it's like I connect but don't connect.

Windows firewall has diablo2, game.exe etc all open for public/private networks.

I can login to USWEST just fine...

while connected to USWEST, netstat confirmed to be connected to 37.244.3.46:6112 chat server and 158.115.218.xx:4000 game server while in a created game/joined game.

Nope, no VPN... should I have? Probably tagged or temp ban as you suggest. Have you seen this message before when that is the case for you? I imagine it happens semi frequently with the number of keys you're running. This is a first for me.

Try forcing new IP on your modem . Only applies if your ISP sets IP dynamically.

I tried forcing a new IP but my ISP are a bunch of commi bastards. I didn't even know I couldn't change my IP... just another forced way of tracking everyone... as if MAC addresses weren't specific enough.

if you use router
disable the connection with isp side
and that clone or key in another Lan card device's MAC address
and than restart to connect isp side
most of the isp will renew another ip address for you in this case

yay, I am able to login now. I was able to wait it out. I think it was an IP temp ban because I wasn't able to login using two keys that I wasn't even using.
