Why do people put a 20life/15@res jewel in their suicide branch? The life I understand, but the res for what? isn't suicide branch used in combination to when you're not using a circlet i.e CoA or a pelt?
In those matchups you would use Pelt it's against necro or hdin where you don't need res and in matchups where you use CoA it would be when you need DR again, not res.. so why is BiS a 20life/15@res jewel in the branch for? someone please explain.

so I should just prioritize 20life flat on the jewel, what about other mods? what could be crucial, fhr is not needed here for me.

your stat prioritization should be as follows:

75 all res (stack vs cold sorc) = breakpoints (163/99)
Then Life > all
Damage is subjective depending on your opponent, Max block is controversial, fwr is no longer needed since wsg is patched (noobs that needed it to glitch can go cry), Rep life is for longer matches (5+ mins)

BASICALLY... IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU ARE DUELING!
To say pelts are worthless is a noob mentality, to say that circlets are best is also false, but to say you don't need either would be wrong.
The druid is one of the most versatile classes, and with different builds they can take down anyone (now cuz fhr mechanic change).

hoto has 40@ a 20 life 15@ jewel gives you a total of 25@ i believe on branch. either way u ain't hitting max res w a branch. branch pelt is for vs hdin nec branch coa for anyone u need dr against. nothing new game is old.

but anyone with a brain knows a a 2 30frw 20 circlet is best in slot when u don't use dr

yes but that is not my question, i know all this but what socket should i go with in the branch, 20flat life sure is nice but as you said i would never use branch when i need res, that's what my circ/hoto setup is for..

let me put it to you this way

my druid on escnl doesn't even own a branch or a pelt.


put an io rune in it and only use it when you're wearing your coa for dr set up

put an io rune in your branch and only use it when you're using coa against barbs druids paladins

io rune is cheap and effective when you don't need res.

a 20life 15@ jewel will run you all your fg and an io rune is free


20 life 15 all res is best in slot when you need 50fcr from branch in order to use bm sorb gear. u get a lil res stack, that's it.

The 15 res is used mostly because druid gets virtually nothing out of prefixes on jewels.

Your only 2 real viable options are resist or mana. Of which druid isn’t particularly a huge mana whore like nec or sin


But tons of people don’t know how to build druids. Tons of people think pelt is best. When rarely pelt is best. And when pelt is best, it’s only very slightly better than hoto circ build.

I would first suggest to optimize your hoto circ build. Then worry about branch pelt build.

Nor are branches expensive. Nor are 20/15 or 20l/mana jewels expensive. Nor is stash space a problem. Have both branches.
