Does Fort actually triple the melee damage on a WW barb?

Say I am equipping a Grief. Would equipping a Fort actually triple my damage? (300%)

No

To simplify for you, ED% (not on weapon), multiplies your weapon damage by the respective ED%.

So for ease of math let’s assume your weapon damage is 100. From fort, your damage is calculated like this:
100 x (1+3.00)= 400
Where 100 is your weapon damage
Where (1+3.00) is your ED% in decimal form

But you already have ED% modifiers from places like Str or axe/sword mastery or WW/berserk etc.

So the math would really be:
100 x (1+ fort ED% + skill ED% + mastery ED% + other ED% sources)

In reality, depending on your ED%, fort is going to actually increase your damage by around 20-33%

I see, thanks.
Would it add to the +damage on the grief (given that it's not % damage)?

+ damage to grief is just added directly to your weapon damage

So if weapon damage is 10-20, and grief gives +400 damage, your weapon damage is actually 410-420. Even tho it isn’t listed on the weapon.

Then that 410-420 is multiplied by tour ED% modifiers from gear, skills, and stats.
