Hey, I'm respeccing my singer to a conc/zerk barb.

I have 4os eth highland blade and conquest swords (and noneth 4os PB), and was wondering which Oath to make that would be best for pairing with SS, and what the other gear should look like. I'm thinking it is the Highland Blade because of it's -5 attack speed and high max damage for DS (from http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/elite/swords.shtml), but wanted to check and see if I'm close with (easily obtainable) ideal gear for using Zerk in chaos sanctuary or trav compared to my current gear:

helm: +5bo helm --> guils
amu: +3warcry --> hlords
weapon: +3 warcries --> oath
shield: SS --> SS
gloves: frostburns --> LoH/Dracs
ring: fcr --> raven
ring 2: dwarf --> dwarf
boots: treks --> treks
sash: tgods --> string of ears

merc helm: rockstopper --> tals
merc armor: duriels --> treachery
merc weap: insight --> reaper's toll - is a2 merc still meta? or does a tanky barb merc do better in 2.4

or if i should go full Softcore and swap the SS for a Lawbringer PB or other weapon to run a frenzy build that can actually kill in p8 CS compared to conc/zerk

Oath PB is pointless. low Base damage times high multiplier is still low damage. Also you can't make use of the indestructible mod
HB ias breakpoints are 72/117, CS are 75/125. with 50ias from weapon and 20 from amu you are at 70, so you need at least one more armor piece (ias gloves rare/crafted/unique or is jewel in helm or armor)
CS has higher dmg, but lower range than HB

Thanks for the advice, I got a shit ed roll in my CS and forgot about the rangeadder of 2 for the HB. Guess I'll roll another
