I'm trying to build a FoH pally with hybrid smite capabilities, but I'm wondering about some of the gearing and mechanics involved with FoH.
Do players weave Holy Bolt inbetween FoH casts? I haven't seen people doing it. For example: cast FoH, cast Holy Bolt, cast FoH, cast Holy Bolt.. would that be more optimal damage in Chaos Sanctuary for example?
Or because FoH set on a .4s GCD to cast and Holy Bolt weaving isn't generally a thing, having more FCR isn't necessarily better?
With FoH, your aura doesn't matter QUITE as much as with other builds, because the Magic damage from FoH's Holy Bolt spread isn't modified by your aura. Does this mean that maybe the the best type of weapon for Chaos farming would be something like +3 Pally Combat +3 FoH (with +conviction as an added bonus)?
If you're not valuing FCR that highly, then you could mix up your build to add a fair bit of damage w/ +Pcomb instead of +pally skills or +all skills where possible if you have the stat budget to afford it. I know that context influences the value +all skills or pally skills because of Conviction+party makeup, BO, or secondary stats on competitive items.
Basically I'm wondering what would be the best and most optimal setup to solo carry players 8 Chaos runs (maybe outside of killing Diablo) would look like and why. Thank you for reading!
