Hello all, i've played d2 on and off in the past but never gone like really hard in the past. that being said i saw there is going to be ladder in d2r in a few days and from what i understand thats like "seasons" that they have in other games. everyone starts fresh and races to the top.

that all being said, this looks really fun and could be a cool change of pace for me. my questions are stated below;

1. if i was to try and make some fg off of the new d2r ladder, what are some things i should aim for that sell decently on the forums?

2. what are good started classes/builds that i could get into fairly easily and use to farm these items that people want?

3. i assume that hardcore (while containing more risks then softcore) would be better if i was trying to sell said items, yes?

Thanks for taking a moment to read/respond to this, and if theres anything else you'd want to add to a new-ish player coming back to the game (tips and tricks) please let me know. i want to learn more about the game this time around.

1. runes: the higher the better i believe lol; check now the threads and see what people are looking for etc

2. cold sorc is always the best option unless you have time and a lot of fg with which buying enigma and/or rest of gear

1. Anything you would want to keep. lol.. But in all honesty, anything.. You could sell rune packs, you could sell Monarchs for few hundy. High runes are cool and all, but I wouldn't count on making fg around that, it's more of a bonus if you find one. Sell smaller things.. You could probably find 10 monarchs in just a few hours and sell each for 200-300 first day. Sell spirit packs, or try and roll spirits. There are so many options, post some stuff up, see what catches.

2. Any sorc, java zon, pally (smiter/hdin), barb, ne.. literally every class has a starting build, just depends on what you want to grind over, and over, and over again. Focus on lvl 85 areas after you find decent gear in NM/Hell.. NM farming is best for some items like Shako, vmagi, oculus, etc..

3. risk vs reward.. there are more ppl playing softcore, so your chances of selling an item are greater and your chances of not dying are also greater.. If you are not a d2 veteran and you just want to make fg, stick with SC.
