I'm making my first summonmancer and I had this brilliant idea to equip my Merc with an eth bramble. Now I realize my Iron Golem already grants thorns aura. These auras will not stack correct?

Should I reequip with another armor? If so should I use the classic e-fort or does anyone have another recommendation?

Correct, auras from different sources do not stack, only the highest counts.
Maybe an iron golem made out of a bramble would make the auras stack, but that's just a guess.

You could change the iron golem to a clay golem, which slows enemies by a lot, and use bramble on merc for the aura. Just in case you wanna use your new bramble

I just miss occy rings and wizspike gloves.

Not saying you can't do what you want, but bramble is really not a worthwhile runeword to spend on merc.. the thorns aura does negligible damage in hell mode.
