this is an opinion question and there are no wrong answers.

how much do you think +2 skills is worth on a weapon in terms of ed%?
is a +2barb 160ed martel as good as a 180ed martel without the skills?
how much ed% would you trade away to gain a +1 or +2 skills to your weap?

D2maxroll shows same dps for a 163ed +2 barb martel and a 180ed martel. Numbers are similar for 200 ed and 182 +2 exec. You could even cope with slightly less ED if you compensate the Life Bonus from better bo by moving stats from vit to str.

But that's just comparing pure dps.
To rate the Life, def, Res, Loot, Speed, Leap bonus is hard.

For a Travi/MF barb i'd neglect Res, Life, Leap. Speed and 1% loot could pay off a little after lets say 1000 runs.
A Bva can make use of Life, Def, Res, Leap better, so i'd rate skills for a pvp barb way higher.

17-20%ED (Maybe 2-3% more at pvp) is probably a good guideline to compare a +2 bonus with a +0 skill weapon. Personally i wouldn't go lower than this as i rate DPS higher than the other bonuses.

+2 better 100% times, not to mention you can only reach level 25 leap with a +2 weapon

As far as maths are concerned, there is no absolute answer to that question.
Mostly because the ED provided by the +2 is additive with the overall ED (skills, attributes, etc), which differs from one barb to another.

But my barb had level 27 leap with my Lance..?

now in order for that +2 martel to get as much damage as the non +2 it would need about 6-7 more ED then the 20 mentioned 6 being slightly
less and 7 being slightly more (6-7ed) difference
so... in my findings i found that in terms of damage on a martel... +2barb skills is about 26ED in terms of damage

i know i know there are people who dont use bo sticks i understand but... most people use bo sticks
and want more life and want a stronger char so for the most part the +skills wouldnt be giving them people
extra life or defense, and as you know all of the barb skill tree suffers from diminishing returns and
you get 0%-1% return pending for nat res,leap,itempop,natspeed,etc

you do get a small amount of attack rating but i think its also lackluster

i also feel like the pricing of these items are likely over priced.... what i mean is people likely pay for
ALOT for +skills on a weapon that possible doesnt even do as much as a common item that could be much much
cheaper
