Would it be possible to create a fire trap assassin for clearing the new act 5 lvl 85 with no fire immunes. Max wake of fire and it's 2 synergies. One point wonder for death sentry and it's corpse explode to farm Nith super early (most champions can't do this like an assassin can. Dump 20 hard points into dragon talon. Then the rest into either fade, how ever shadow skillers are dirt cheap and you could probably prebuff fade with super cheap gear. Like 2 +3 shadow claws skillers etc. Use traditional kick sin Uber gear then possibly dumb the remaining points into shadow master and hope she lands some nice mind blasts on adds as you resummon her to agro lillith/mephisto??

So in short fohdin smiter my original plan won't be able to damage nith as he is classified as animal, and he would likely have to wait for natures peace where the trapper isn't.
We save nearly 40.hard points from the synergy change and fire assassin can farm hell pretty easily with najs set now for select lvl85 areas as well as nith.

Thoughts?, Concerns and what gear would I need to make this happen on a budget. The kick side of it.

Goblin toes/gores upped
Cats eye amulet or a high resist
Laying of hands
(Idk belt maybe tgods)
(Idk weapon choice for kick ias bp. Black flail maybe)
Ravens or resist ring
Duriels if no ravens frost
Gface
Life tap wand on switch
Sanctuary/stormshield with Max block if ss route??

Should be all viable options the first week.

I'm thinking about starting with a trapsin too. My only concern is what dragon talon will look like in 2.4, since it seems like attack rating/defense will actually matter again. Is 20 pts into dragon talon sufficient for you to have a high hit % vs Baal? I never tried kicksins back in LOD...

Interesting. I'm on ps5 can you test it on ptr single player. Only takes one level if you are on PC?

So I spent wayyyy tooo much fucking time. In short they did change this. How ever. Lvl 20 with basic gear. Using 2 yellow rings calculated with 90 Atr on each and a mahim oak amulet (10% bonus atr 10 @ res with demon limb prebuff.

And using deaths set glove and belt. For cannot be frozen. We have 11,366 attack rating this will be viable for Ubers. Best in slot how ever will be a metal grids boosting this attack rating to 16k nearly. How ever for early on I suggest keeping all attack rating charms with resist you find as we need both. I watched a video of a kick sin killing Ubers earlier today in 1.10 with 10k attack rating and only a black. So I think our build will be completely fine. I also think they shouldn't have changed dragon talon if smite can hit always.

Last note if we add raven frost once we move to dracs and tgods with metal grid this will be closer to 18k. Remember attack rating on weapons doesn't count.

it'll use ar in 2.4, back to how it used to be in LoD, and kick/trap was viable back then.
currently in d2r kicks ignore defense and block. this will change soon.


I think wof will still be kinda slow damage in 2.4 if you are on any kind of high player count

death sentry + cb% are really strong on lower player counts and it should stay that way, and the kicksin side of the build should work well.
your gear plan looks alright for a starter kicksin.
treachery also good early armor.
LoH does not add damage to demon% to kicks, use orphan gloves instead if you need ias, but aim to get dracs eventually.
black is very early weapon if you have nothing else and has attack speed problems on fade.
I like crescent moon pb for early kicksin weapon back on lod. has ignore target defense which makes kicks hit like they do now vs normal enemies, while gface and gores add the cb%.
and eventually upgrade to stormlash.

do note that cb% and death sentry based killing speed slows down on higher player counts


edit: btw for those wondering, low ar kicksins were a tad slow at killing ubers back on LoD, but they could still do it. having higher ar definitely made it easier tho.

Great information I watched someone running Ubers with 30k atr on kicks and it was still a bit slow. Super frustrating. And now I'm.even second guessing not building a fohdin/smiter. It's garbage that there isn't other competitive options with the removal of always hitting with the kicks. I would trade spending fg on a nature's peace and clearing Ubers easily over struggling with a kick sin unfortunately. Seeing as how foh doesn't need fcr I can runa. Double shealed heavens light and smack down Nith after doing his adds....
