What do you guys like to do to farm items in the game? For example I really enjoy killing cows as a Javazon. I would say it’s probably my favorite way to farm right now. What do you guys like doing?

Well tbh I just farm cows.

I try to put on audiobook

Sometimes listen to the Bible.

Its good to have a distraction from the farming.

Killing cows 247 can't be good for u

So I try to keep my brain active with podcasts and sermons etc.

I have always been a chaos sanctuary junkie.
For hours upon hours I did chaos runs on LoD.
Hundreds per day as an hdin.
Had regulars in my channel lobby and made a lot of friends that way.

given that im always seeking yellow essences and that meph always drops me none, my obligatory farming point is durance lvl3, and before that trav.

after that nila, shenk only because (i never got anything good from him... but still). then invocator, duri also just because im in act2 and thats pretty much it

long time ago i had more than and i did cows, chaos and baal... today i only do a few couple of those runs over the week

(playing light sorc or hdin)

I don't play d2 regularly now actually .. but when i do, usually starting a new ladder, i simply play through with new characters, and run quest bugged boss runs until i have good enough gear to quest bug the next relevant boss. I usually try to stick to either diablo or baal. Diablo easy to get to and baalrun gives great experience, both tend to drop better than mephisto and andariel, and duriel isn't even worth mentioning ^^ Always seems to give bad drops...

You gotta questbug him. Only possible with a rusher, though.
After putting the staff into the tomb-thing, you have to take a tp to town and wait till duri is dead. Then take the tp, and go into duri chamber. Quest should say "cannot complete blabla, another player finished blabla", then talk to tyrael, take the tp, talk to jerhyn, then meschif, sail east, save/exit.

I once tried to stay in the tomb (not chamber) and the questbugging didn't work, even though the questbook told me that i cannot complete blabla.
Without questdrop i believe he has a 75% (or 66%?) to drop a tp scroll on every single roll of his 6 drops, which is the reason why we sometimes see him drop 4-6 tp scrolls.
If questbugged, enjoy the drops.
This also works in classic, and even after converting the char, he is still questbugged in LoD



I like to farm meph in nm at the start of the ladder. Ptopaz into 3soc helm + 4soc armor and you're good to go. Once i have better equip, i advance to andy+meph in hell, and later mostly cs/dia because of the nice mix of exp and lvl 85 area drops. Nice open area with many boss-packs that can be cleared by tons of builds

I never thought i would be the one to be lectured on quest bugging ^^ But i've never read anywhere about duriel being able to be quest bugged in that way. Where have you read or heard that?

I do know of the "untraditional" way of doing it, with two characters. But it just seems easier and more efficient overall to do diablo and baal because of the aforementioned reasons. But you are right though, it is possible.

Some dude on classic (EU SC) explained the exact steps to me*. I tried to look it up online, but couldn't find it anywhere. The only guide i could find was about questbugging duri was the same way that u can questbug meph/dia/baal.
The best thing about this method is that you're able to questdrop-farm 3 bosses with 1 single character. It takes some time to find Duri, though, which is kind of annoying^^

I have checked the items on every duri drop since i questbugged him. It's always magical items with increased dura ( = game wanted to create a set item, but that set item doesn't exist ), set items, rares and uniques. So by now I'm pretty sure it works.
(Sometimes you get magic Bows or other stuff without durability, which means you can't tell if that item wanted to roll as a set item).
