Hi, since in d2r nobody answers on my topic i try it here, i dont really know what shield to use since i dont have all ful res, i use spirit now and FR/CR/PR res boots and highlords, with maras its looking even better (all max exept psn is around 55) but i loose 1ias bp and deadly strike. Now my question is would phoenix give me more dmg then the 2skills from spirit? Not at all i loose resis/alot fhr and the max res from phoenix are useless, and for that hrs i want the stat they give. So could anyone tell me if phoenix gives more dmg? well on physic it will ofc and on skill i loose but i cant decide what to do and to get that exp rw just for try is a bit too much for me. I also know redemtion aura give alot of survivability from corpse leech still i want that max res, i use 3/20 java gloves i had them in old d2 always (no 2/20 res add gloves) and still had no problems, i guess i miss bug belt and 10x 20/5@. What do you ppl think..

If you use enigma, i'd say go with the spirit and an fcr ring to hit the 68 fcr breakpoint. The fhr and +mana is great as well. +skills and +35 tri res are a nice bonus on top of all that.
If you really want the redemption aura, you could put it on switch and heal up from time to time. I wouldn't recommend getting it only for the phys damage increase. (You could get an offensive nightmare merc and give him some +skills items to boost his aura to ~250%, and see if it affects your kill speed)

I'd go mara for the res, but you could also try to craft an 8+ fcr amulet that gives u dex/str/life, or even mana. That would mean that you don't need an fcr ring for the bp.
You shouldn't be able to notice the deadly strike from hl, unless you desperately want to clear all light immunes. So it's basically ias or survivability

I truly believe in using 3 socket3d headhunters glory, it has life after kill, then you can socket it with a 15 ias 15 res jewel if you need to hit the break point and then throw in a couple of lightning facets.

The only down side is no fcr for teleport, but if you dont mind keeping spirit on switch, its doable

you're a ranged (fury) character that kills everything before anything gets close to you. why would you need max res? a pvm java could put 500 points into energy and still be unkillable



hhg sucks ass. never use anything but spirit on a pvm java

phoenix is worse than a plain ol buckler, don't use it on anything other than a bm zealot

your physical dmg isn't even 1% of your total damage output, so 400% boost to your physical ed makes no difference at all.
if you're desperate for mana, use a phoenix on switch with cta. but since silkweaves are a thing, mana shouldnt be a problem. on that note, switch your trires boots for silkweaves.

I use spirit on switch, my personal preference, I love it ever since I switched

I also say razor tail is overrated on java and I dont run 100% pierce, you gunna rage about that?

i mean, razortail is indisputably the mathematically superior belt option. there's no way around that. if you wanna limp your dps, be my guest. but that should tell everyone why your input on java optimization should be disregarded by everyone
