why baal wave 2 gives usually 2-3k exp when every other wave gives 50-150k exp ?

sometimes wave 2 give like 110k exp or so but most of the time 2k

8 ppl in throne no XP .

when 8 ppl is in the throne i only get 2k exp for wave 2 ? when 7 or less i get 80k+ ?

Yes, is a new bug from D2R, iirc if one of the players unpartied before wave 2 and go outside throne is enough for the rest to get the correct exp, then he just need to party again and go back to throne.

But you will not get that in public games.

whats best way lvling past 96 ? i noticed some random elite packs outside of throne give 30-70k exp as well.

iam usualy gonna grab exp shrine and leech baal minions, is there any better route ? sometimes i try to kill some other elites outside of throne if they go for baal after waves

this bug has been in legacy d2 since the beginning of time when adam ate the bad apple

joining baalruns and clearing chaos sanctuary without doing diablo is the most effective way up to level 97

after 97 same story but with doing diablo

before 97 you can also join diaruns and do solo balaruns but tbh that only works in theory and diaruns are always too slow to make it worth while.

i always make a setup just for chaos sanctuary, tanky but a also able to clear chaos on pretty much any char (except some that just really cant, such as assasin) within 45 seconds

for sorc for example;
deaths fanthom
nightwing
guardian angel um
stormshield um
arach

blabla , you know the drill, i made a maxblock vita blizz sorc with 35% dr and 90 all resistance, with dwarf equipped to mitigate pretty much any damage with mdr that comes from monsters

you don't rly wanna get oneshot by a pack like lord de seis, and since you can get 10k+ blizz dmg easily with this setup and oneshot literally every pack, its effective enough without it being too risky.

same for hammerdin, clear chaos, same could work on a hurricane based ele druid with -150 cold resist, maybe even light sorc but imo without maxblock it is gonna be risky.

works for javazon too if u get 68 fcr, and im sure theres quite a few more chars.




the goal anyhow is to clear full chaos as fast as you can and join the throne room around wave 2-3 (and hope someone leaves the party at wave 2 so u actually get xp)





this method gave me about 2.5x full baalrun experience per ''run'' in the time for a normal baalrun, so its very effective and fast
