Somehow i also feel that a great project comes near it's end.

LoD deserves to live forever being the classic masterpiece it is
unfortunately the player population is so low its not worth keeping those old servers running
also its not exactly a money generator for them
it will be sad to see the end of such a beautiful thing, i always told myself i would be the last player on the D2 servers
but i already quit D2 a few months ago when D2R was released my hopes were so high!
and now i regret even purchasing D2R because its a mindless pvm game that lacks the soul that LoD once had
