This has me wondering, if there were no bots nor online shops nor paid farmer communities, how expensive might a hard to find item be.
Well, I will treasure this Ber and hope to find a Jah to make a much needed enigma.

More expensive than they should be, because realistically there are millions of items that never get sold or traded cause everything is so sparced out in a need-based economy. Being at the right place right time is where half the transactions end up happening.

Self found worked 15 years ago, now the game refreshes too fast, the room names are too short to give any indication of what you are actually trading, and the room descriptions don't work properly. Trade sites are the reason why many items actually have value.

I agree that ladders are far too fast to find the very best endgame items. Yet, I do well with whatever drops and is useful.

That is a huge OUCH! on the lost Ber opportunity. By seal popping, do you mean taking out new players when they stand where Seis spawns? Or, doing what I do and popping all the poppables in the Kurast areas. It is due to the Kurast poppables that I can quickly equip my character(s) with self-found reasonably endgame gear, skillers, and runewords.
