This is for a current lvl 30 javelin

yes it will upgrade to next stage, which will also increase dmg + lvl req

Norm ----> exceptional = base exceptional item clvl req or affix clvl req (whichever is higher) +5 levels

Exceptional ----> elite = base elite item clvl req or affix clvl req (whichever is higher) +7 levels

This is cumulative so if you upgrade from norm ----> elite it'll be +12 levels.

In your case, if your maiden have have a LVL 30 req (higher than ceremonial java req) they will have a clvl 35 req if upgraded.
