heard this rumor a while back , is it true that elemental damage is doubled with gear bonuses when kicking , like with trang oul you get +50% poison damage or facets do +10%

nope. But strength works double on it

“ there's a bonus to %ED based on strength/dex for various weapons

1% strength for most melee weapons and unarmed and shields (smite)
0.8% str + 0.5% dex for amazon javelins and spears
0.75% str + 0.75% dex for claws, daggers, throwing axes and throwing knives

Daggers get .75/.75 ED% per point in strength and dexterity, bows and crossbows get 1% ed per dexterity

1.1% strength for hammers
1.2% strength for kick skills*

*kicks use 1.2% strength scaling for the %ED applied to the base damage, but the base damage uses a min to max of (str+dex-20)/4 to (str+dex-20)/3, so strength effectively factors into it twice”

ya sure ? i even found old posts on the net that talk about this and nobody seems to disagree

maybe you were reading about venom?

venom gets the poison mastery buff twice.
once at time of cast +poison damage% is applied to the spell.
and then when it's on your gear you get a second +poison damage% from it applying to your attacks since the poison mastery boosts all on-gear poison damage.
