Hi all

I’m doing some experiments to solve mana issues on a pvm rift-a-sin using infinity mercenary.
Since my play style is roughly 50/50 on kills with traps and kicks mana quickly runs out.
I’ve tried solving the issue with mana leech ring but even 6% does not seem to do the trick. Then I thought about using pheonix for the high Ed and redemption aura instead of headhunters with facets but I wonder whether firestorm would be too annoying if there’s cool down between kicks. Or maybe there’s a third option to be considered?
I do not plan on swapping infinity for insight.

Let me know all your creative ideas.

Redemption will always be annoying for anything melee based.
Although it isn't too much of a problem since you have multi-hit similar to paladin's zeal or druid's fury.
The main problem is that your kicks isn't purely physical meaning a lower leech overall.

What is your mana at?
Usually having a larger mana pool can help with longer time inbetween potions and effectively using it up.
What is your full setup by the way?

Setup:
Nightwing 5-5 cold
Maras
Rift
Enigma MP
HHG 15-15 cold / sanctuary for res/MB
Draculs
raven
second ring varies. Right now self crafted reg. ring (106ar/10str/3energy/12mana/11allres/9%reg mana). Tested mana leech with manald ring and rare 3ml ring. Dwarf star now and then.
SoE 15dr/TGod
Double upped goblins
CtA/spirit for switch

Merc holy freeze: infinity, treachery

Someone suggested pheonix for flash redemption on switch instead for spirit, however I do like to teleport faster on switch. Could compensate for this with fcr ring and arach setup (28fcr BP).
This would also help with the issue of redemption vs death sentry.

redemption is gonna kill your death sentry. no more corpses for explosions.

a single source of mana leech should be more than enough to refill your mana bubble.
maybe use a blue potion every once in a while? you really shouldn't be having mana problems unless you are casting too many traps and not kicking enough.
or maybe if you are in an undead heavy area with nothing to leech off of. nothing wrong with mana potting every once in a while.

the other thing you can do is use 1 point cobra strike every once in a while to rejuv? its kinda jank and not going to work on undead, but its an option.

edit: you could have cta/pheonix on switch as you were thinking, and not eat up the corpses unless you switch to rejuv after killing a pack.
again tho, a bit confused why you are having mana issues if you have some mana leech

never heard of rift-a-sin might be a newgen shit

from what you said its a hybrid kick trapper

its a very under powered under used build.

so your post is to solve mana issues, heres your fix, load a secondary char with insight and have that follow your char. consider your char a disabled trapper (does less damage) they even when built correctly do have mana useage issues (like a hammerdin without insight)

and if you are going pvm with that kind of char its the wrong char for the wrong job so ofc your going to have issues

Сrescent Moon amulet with 15% ml and 10% DTGTM. I do not think that the melee assa will suffer from lack of + to skills ;)

Thank you for your various ideas.
I’ve tried different setups now and pheonix either flash or as main shield exceeds all other suggested options by far.
However, keep ‘em coming if you got other suggestions/ideas :hail:
