Fireball for classic.

Firewall shines most with a mercenary that holds the monsters attention while they die to firewall, and since mercs aren't worth having in classic it's an easy choice imo.

sweet deal man. thank you. whats your opinion on maxing frost bolt (orb synergy) or not. i have heard just 1 point, get some cold mastery, and then the rest fire (after maxing orb)

It's been awhile since I've done a classic sorc but I think the argument for 1 point frost bolt is so you can dump more points into teleport, which is a very mana hungry skill.

I'd probably get teleport to a reasonable mana requirement, then dump the rest into frost bolt. What a reasonable amount of mana is will be up to you.

I couldn't recommend that, Cold mastery will make up most of your cold damage.

Try something like this:

20 Frozen Orb
15+ Ice Bolt
17+ Cold Mastery
5+ Teleport
3-5 points in Warmth
3 or so points into static
1 Fire Mastery
Rest into Fireball

Might be able to max out Fireball depending on your skill choices in the early 90's.

No crush sorc is ever going to be anywhere near 90
Always leave warmth level 1
This build doesnt leave room for extra points in static in my opinion, it sacrifices kill speed for convenience. Leave static at 1.

Another reason this advise is bad is low fireball damage in classic is unusable because you have no merc distracting monster AI, and you cant just stand there and throw 20 fireballs at something especially since low damage fireball wont engage monsters hit recovery and you will be mobbed
You can comparably get away with lower firewall damage because you cast and run during cast delay.

Fireball has to be level 20 minimum to even be worth the time, and depending on number of people you're rushing I would do like 10 into fire bolt also.

Because of this I'd leave tele level 1 also.
Otherwise just go 60 points in orb and max tele and forget the cold immunes.
