Hi all,

I'm new to SPJ but I like it. If I'm selling and buying items for FG everything make sense.
But when I compared real money prices with different websites,
using exchange rate : 3300 fg / 100$ = 33FG/1$, than prices here are twice as high.
When I saw someone selling FG for real money on Facebook, rate was 1000FG /15$ = 66.6 FG/1$.
All prices made sense again.

Is it because JSP charges 50% from youre deposit?

If yes, that is pretty steep...

Thanks in advance for any other explanation.

From rules :

Please note that it is a bannable offense to buy FG directly from another user for money. The only allowed method of using money to buy FG is directly through the forum store.

I'm asking because, I didn't make enough reaserch and bought FG with $ directly trough this website. Now when understand fair prices better, I can see I was overpaying by 2x. I know taking some fee to keep things running is necessary, but 50%? Feels bad man...
My mistake I should have known better.

You can, for example, check the steam section.. this is allowed.. and sell steam cards or smth, going rate is better

Or if you have an access to donor forum

Sorry, I am on the phone atm, hard to provide links. But I am sure u can find all you need in FAQ

People spending $ on games would rather just buy the item directly rather than buy a third party currency to bid on the item for weeks, work out a time to get on to trade and then get scammed by some 36 year old from Quebec named HorseDick420 whose most creative act to date was putting xXx in front of his username. It’s just a lot of extra time and effort to accomplish the same thing, and it’s much, much easier to avoid this site altogether if you’re spending money on games.

There are other reasons, of course. But the only market where it was ever cheaper to get things on jsp was for d2, which nobody really plays anymore.
