Hi there, considering that you have a teleport, do you walk or run, does it even matter ?

I'm just starting so my character is not bullet proof yet.

As a Sorc I tele slowly and open most of the doors with telekinesis, so I can walk instead of running, to increase my defense.


What is your approach ?

trang necs supposed walk bc the vampire walk/run speed is same.

ive tried walking but its too painful, I love to run and at times have taken it even further with a harmony bow merc for vigor and run superquick into mobs and nearly died. faster = funner

I’ve read that unless your defense is astronomical (shielded barb/pally), then defense is basically useless. Not sure how true that is, though.

pvm you need to move around, this idea is more for PVP, mostly melees...

pvp casters shouldnt move w/o teleport

running reduces chance to block to 1/3, just keep that in mind

I do a mix of walking and teleport unless I'm super geared. I don't use maphack and I don't usually like using run and teleport bc I find it easier to navigate and dodge while walking.

Also I like 2 toggle run on characters w/o teleport bc it can be bad to just run into certain packs of monsters.
