Made my infinity yesterday, I have a Griffs, with a light facet in it 18/18.

Rest of the gear is pretty standard, Maras, viper magi, arachnid, spirit, oculus, and a torch.

So far I’m rather unimpressed. This does not clear p5 and above as quick as I’ve heard. She’s also super fragile. I even think my Hammerdin is faster at P1 than the sorceress is. I’m using chain lightning on regular mobs, and lightning on elite packs/bosses.

Do I need an inventory full of lightning charms for this to get much better? My lightning damage is around 21,000 max damage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chain Lightning does less damage, Lightning is better. Having some more Facets in your armor and Weapon would make it better. Get a good CTA if you don't have one, and up your VMagi so Chilling Armor is more effective. I also think -light res is more important than Light damage, since immunities are broken so easily with Infinity, and your current max damage is already high. Otherwise make sure your Res is capped and you have stats in Vitality for better BO.

Hammers just do a lot of damage in general, it's hard to compete with that. Sorcs are better at clearing wider areas faster.

No. If you have infinity you can easily use 7mf scs.

You're missing damage somewhere else. 21k is low.

Maybe because I am using 2FCR rings?

I just found out that my light sorc (which I used to love) is weak af (she does 21k dmg and I was kinda proud of that lol)

Max theoretical damage, which is not an enjoyable character and I'm not recommending it, is like 63k. Normal ranges for end game light sorcs is like 25-40k. Mine is 29k, not using light skillers.

yeah I need to socket my griffons and I'm wearing an unsocketed vipermagi too, I usually go with CoH but now I'm "trying" a "new" build lol. Even so, I am not playing this sorc too much lately, and as I will be playing ladder, this build will have to wait until I can gather all over again the items I need to make a decent light sorc
