Has anyone done the math on what the best base is? I am under the assumption it is BalrogBlade, but this may just be the easiest to acquire. Etheral of course.

I'm not sure, but consider that some superior bases will get 4 os at Larzuk: small crescent, conquest sword, cryptic sword, highland blade, balrog blade, champion sword.
(legendary mallet is a hammer so its not good).

The kind of attack your are using and your off-weapon ias will determine what base ias you need on the weapon to reach the desirable ias breakpoint.

Stats and rangeadder also varies, for those who care about those.
