I remember if a character has expired, it will still be shown, and if the name is not taken you can still activate it. But, this time my characters are completely gone? Did this happen to anyone else?

Yeah it's a thing they implemented.... better to perm your chars man sorry RIP

Bruh… I think I just haven’t logged one for like 2 months… that’s kinda like forcing the population to get smaller lol…

I mean your gear was either botted, duped, or bad so it's not much of a loss.
