I was wondering whether there is a good MF guide. My sorc currently has roughly 450 MF and I am wondering whether it would make sense to go higher. Or whether additional MF is not providing much benefit? I’m interested in this because this would of course decrease damage / tankiness and also be costly.

Mf guide:

Get 200 mf with good items or not important items for your char (ie: shako, enigma, gheed, WT, some small charms, depending on char chance guards or mf rings).

Then add all your killing gear to get maximum damage, go to the highest player count you are going to farm (if you are able to farm p8, go there, if you are going to be farming alone in P1, P1 then)

Swap killing gear with mf as long as your killing speed is the same, can you get the same times, in the same PX games with 600 mf instead of your 450? Yes, go with 600mf, No? Stick to 450 or even lower it more if you can kill even faster with 300.

The first 200-250mf add a lot, after that killing speed is king, and survivability helps a lot to kill faster.

In addition kill speed = more runs = more drops and more chances of rare/unique items.

Just remember sometimes these items are over 1 in 5000 chance even with 200-400MF so don't be discouraged - keep at it!

My personal opinion is once you've farmed enough for a budget LF Javazon (basic gears - Titans, War Travs, Razortail and ML rings) you can clear them sub 3-5 minutes.

Only hit packs - run past single mobs and you will not believe how many runes, charms, gems will drop.

I've personally found Zod and Ber on the same run (extremely lucky and RNG gods) but that's just some hype to get you excited!!

Mrllamasc made a pretty good video on it. If it's runes you are after, mf doesn't matter. Also anything more then 400 is pointless according to the graphs for unique chances. As others have states, get 200-400 then focus on killing speed.
