Something happened when i tried to store something in the cube
Happened after I installed and tried 3dfx (3rd party program) to prevent tabbing out while in window mode
I've read plenty of threads and can't find the solution..

Please help! I do not want to lose my most expensive char

Can you go into a little bit more detail of how the item is stuck on your cursor?

Is it just happening in the one game it happened in or have you gone to other games?

It's happening in any other game, but only that char that has the item, other chars are just fine.
Cant switch items in inventory, cant drop item, i cant move so i cant try to to die in pvp.
Cant trade with people, it says im busy.
Tried to reinstall but its the same
I also removed the program but i didnt remove it from my start up settings. I tried removing it, but with no result

Other threads say blizzard cant do anything about it

I did some reading. It could be a server side issue. You could try to give the character some time to sync up with the server. I am thinking a week or 2 without logging into that character might be long enough.

Maybe you could get lucky and be in a game that drops and temporary makes it so you cannot create or join games. This usually causes a rollback to happen which will help sync the character up with the server again. It believe it takes about 15 minutes before you can get into a game. Remember this is just an idea and I have no experience with this glitch or fixing it.


Also have you tried rejoining or creating new games like 100 times? Not quickly as you would not want to get temporary restricted from the realm or banned. I would even go as far as just joining the game and leaving without trying to drop the item.

maybe moving the item to merc slot or something similar could work. If you really care about that char, ask someone who's spent loads of time testing exploits, maybe something there you can do.

Its a grand charm, and its a pvp char so i dont have a merc. And since I cant move i cant go buy one

This was many years ago, but I seem to remember that if you try to place an item into your cube when it's full, it changes part of the item location data. It remains in the 04 (cursor) buffer, but the page is changed to 03 (cube). I haven't bothered to check, but in recent years they may have added additional checks to limit what you can do with items with this type of location data. I think I may be able to fix your character, but I'd need access to the account. No promises though.

Try to run full screen remove the -w or try -direct or -txt, delete your registry files for diablo. Probably is server side but I dont see it being permanent. Just do anything and everything, flood the server, it is like a puzzle at this point! GL HF, best bet is to fudge around with interrupting ur connection like bub said above for it to roll back.
