Hey guys,
Got back into d2 after a long hiatus and everything was going nicely when i encountered a bug/glitch some MAY be familiar with.
So i was muleing and moving stuff around my inventory and stash. I had charms in the horadric cube to save space when i was moving the cube from my stash to my inventory.
Cube in hand/on the cursor i got "Your connection has been interrupted". No biggie i log back in a game and now the cube is STUCK on the cursor! I cannot place it in my inventory/ground/anywhere, cannot move or talk to anyone either.
Saw a couple of others who had similar issues but no fix...
Anyone seen this before?
Of course this was on my lvl90 MF Sorc so most of my wealth was on this character...
I have posted a support ticket to blizzard and got this response:
Your ticket has received the following response:
Game Master Ixzal here and I can totally understand how this situation would be confusing and I hope I can get this sorted out for you! ^_^
I had this checked out and found your accounts **** and ****, and since you logged in recently you won't lose any characters due to inactivity. You have 10 days for new characters and if they have played for 2 hours have 90 days before becoming inactive.
As for this connection issue, it's possible that an incorrect configuration with the DNS (Domain Name System) is causing some trouble with the connection. Here is a link that will detail how to flush the DNS to make sure everything gets set back up properly: https://battle.net/support/article/82450
I would also suggest closing all other programs while testing:

After that try powering off the modem for about 30 seconds:
https://battle.net/support/article/31851
One of the biggest reasons you may benefit from rebooting your modem is because when you leave your modem on for too long, it will tend to stop performing at its best after a while. Another reason is that when your modem is on all day, every day, it could desynchronize from the Internet Service Provider (ISP). This desynchronization can cause the packets you are sending and receiving to become corrupt, requiring them to be resent, and thus, lowering your speed.
If this keeps happening, please let us know! Make sure to include the following information:
1) Updated MSinfo: https://us.battle.net/support/article/12988
2) The make and model of your modem
3) A MTR test:
1. Download WinMTR from http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools/Traceroute-Whois-Tools/WinMTR-NET.shtml
2. Open the WinMTR.exe
3. Type europe.battle.net in the "Host" field.
4. Click on "Start" and then launch the game and run the test for about 10 minutes, minimize the game and click on "Stop".
5. Click on "Copy text to clipboard" and paste the results into a text file and attach that to your next ticket reply
If these steps fixed everything up though, it would be super appreciated if you could resolve the issue on our support site (https://us.battle.net/support/en/case/) and let us know which steps helped!
Best wishes!
