Here's a brand new tool I made for old and new d2 players alike. I hope some people find it useful Yay! no more "can this item exist?" threads

What does it do?
Although I am not finished with it, right now it can :

- tell you exactly what affix can spawn on any base type in the game
- tell you what item level is required to get these stats
- tell you min-max damage for all types including 2h, 1h, throw and should always return the exact numbers the game would
- tell you the exact defense of the item, both from the base and with stats included (somewhat replacing my defense calculator)
- tell you max item sockets by item level, item types
- tell you the color of the item when worn and when viewed in your inventory
- tell you the required str/dex of the item with consideration for eth/non, % reduced attributes, etc
- And more things like range, dura, upgradeable, stat bonuses, speed modifiers + more

When selecting an affix, greyed affixes cannot spawn on that item or are already selected on other affixes.
Once an affix is selected, a range slider will appear, hovering over it will tell you what the min-max is and more details about the stat.
Any item that is "created" in the calculator can exist ingame (as far as I've tested).
On level affixes are calculated with clvl99.
Reloading the page does not reset your selections, use the "clear" button bottom left.

You may share items you created with friends by linking the entire URL

So what now?
For one I'm adding crafted items
2nd, probably some statistics about drop rates
3rd is 3rd because the first two need to work before this can - value estimate in fg and/or a global rating

Problem with people that post "can this drop" is that they are too lazy to check 1 website. So this will not solve that, as they will also be too lazy to check this out ^^

However! I love this, will definitely check it out and give u feedback once I'm home.

These two things are super useful on that tool (the rest I pretty much have memorized after 20 years :))

really nice tool, i have played a little around with it and im one of these noobs who dont know if a specific item can spawn in game,
so its pretty good for me

when i read "You may share items you created with friends by linking the entire URL",
something came to my mind: maybe you can do something such that if you set everything up in your list and "create" the item,
a picture of that item is generated which looks the same as a d2 item. maybe that would be better than sharing the list with others,
and it might be clearer too (easier and faster than reading from a list), and maybe show that image in the middle of your page
because i see there is a good free space. anyway, really nice tool thank you

Well to be fair, when I complete it, the vast majority of item related questions will be solved by just looking at this one page
I know most people don't bother googling anything at all, but if it's just one bookmark away, who knows

The thing with the url is that you don't need to upload it just to share, and then they can also play with the values
I could do the image thing but it would be quite a bit more work, maybe eventually, but for now the information is what I'm really trying to get out of it

Again, even if all of the questions could be solved by following your instructions it would not stop people from posting the questions

They don't want your useful tools. They want you to use your useful tools to spoon-feed them info so they don't have to google it themselves.

i like it but it looks like needs a few fixes for non-expansion item

• dmg ac doesn't spawn anymore
  
• min dmg goes up to 14
  
• -40 req doesnt spawn anymore (-30 max)
  

think you just got prelod affixes for the "non expansion" items, might be an ez fix

This would be gg if you added crafting level ranges because that stuff is always a pain in the ass to calculate
