I would like to open this buy saying I do not want drama, it is my intention to shed light on an unfortunate situation that involved me (SpamBam), Scott (Gtakin), and scammer (Gcat).
I am offering up this information on my own free will in hopes to clear some things up. This thread will be my last involvement with this issue as it no longer pertains to anyone but me and scott (gtakin) and should be allowed to be handled between to two of us. Like I have said before I love the melee community, it has been my favorite part of this game since I traded my first SOJ for a soul scratch on classic. I would like to be a part of that community again.

(1)I have it on good authority that he even knew they probably belonged to gtakin because he said that he thought besh's garreats belonged to gtakin during the purchase of the stolen goods.

If you want to give him some type of credit for wanting to give them back (2) only after he realized there would be repercussions for his actions, then that's fantastic, go for it.
(1) "I have it on good authority..." this is impossible firstly as I had never heard of Gtakin until I pm'd him asking if I had purchased his gear from someone else, the first conversation I ever had with him was via text message after him responding to my pm inquiry.
(2) Scott offered me 150k for the items back via pm before we started texting, he thought I had gotten way more gear, when he found out I only got a few big items not full characters he asked me to keep the gear.

Firstly, I pm'd scott before this was public knowledge. Chris (Blanka) had told me he was looking for a btal, I told him someone had pm'd me with 3 for trade and we got to talking on vent. The prospect of someone buying the names and naming unperm btals came up, when he told me that all 3 of those belonged to scott (gtakin) that is when I realized who's gear it was, and I messaged gcat asking him to confirm. After confirmation I pm'd Gtakin and and told him that I had unintentionally bought his stolen gear, then then offered to buy it back for 150k fg. When I bought the Besh G Arreats I had no idea who's it was, I had lost access to SpamBam (d2jsp) during my time away for over 6 years and have not kept up at all on who has what items.
Secondly, there are ways to fencing stolen gear and getting around your item banning, if you understand the process involved in rolling items then you understand that any of the rolled items could be sold or used if they were said to have come from a roller. This is not something that I am interested in doing, I am still here, still trying to do right by Scott, a complete stranger to me, but I feel obligated to help him because its the right thing to do.

Which based on how the trade for the goods went down is not true either because he even said (2) he thought gtakin owned besh's g arreat.
(1) 100% False! Read the thread on other site mate, not one time does it say anything about knowing the gear was stolen anywhere!
(2) 100% False! I have no idea who owns ANY named gear, this is straight slander like I said I never knew who Scott was until after I got to know him over text when we talked about my transaction of items for sale with Gcat.

Gcat keylogs Gtakin on his phone with a fishing email , well planned and lucky notice the similar name gcat.

The gears were still hot on the frying pan barely a few hours old , um yea sounds very legit at that price and from that user.
(2)News gets out and SpamBam and all the stolen melee gears are banned from ANY gm melee events and melee guilds including mine.
Few days later Spambam now wants to participate on ugml and melee events and offers to give back all the stolen melee items to Scott(Gtakin)
I believe this when I see it and go from there , enough said <_<
(1) The gear was NEVER listed on the other site, I don't know where you are getting your information from. I got a pm with a picture of a rolled zerker asking if I was ISO rolled gear. We made a profit pack of the melee gear, I thought it was entirely possible that a roller was trying to quick sell some items privately to me because 1) I had the capital to buy, 2) private sales don't drive down market value. I did't ask the right questions I quickly came up with an offer for the gear that seemed to good to be true, and come to find it was. This is my mistake and I have been paying for it dearly.
(2) I had gotten the clear to sell or use the gear from Scott long before anyone had said it was banned.
There is a way for this to be fair to both me and Scott, I think me giving scott all his gear back would be justice, but I don't think that it would be fair. That being said I am willing to do whatever it takes to make things right for him, but that is for me and Scott to decide, not the entire melee community. I would appreciate my ban to be lifted, and for everyone to kindly back off this issue as it has caused an enormous amount of unnecessary drama!
