So my character can not talk in game? Any idea on how to fix this?

No I can't do /F L or type in game on a bunch of my characters, I just realized. No idea what's going on. I didn't do anything weird on the characters and it doesn't seem like it's tied to cdkeys, I'm testing that now.

If I do /F M it doesn't actually send the message to any of my friends ...

Go to your Diablo II folder and look for a file called ignorelist. Open it with notepad and remove your character name from it (or just delete the entire list if you'd like).

Wow thanks, How on earth did that happen? WTF... My characters were all in their multiple times ...........

You squelched yourself. Happens more often than you think!

maybe u had 2 chars in the game and u accidently squelched all because too many spambots joined. If u run multiple copies out of 1 folder then ofc u wont see yourself chat then (ignorelist)

Does ppl seriously add themself to ignorelist still in 2016

It happened to me again today and I assure you I'm not personally doing it.

Obviously it's a bug dude...
