it must be legit to ask for disk image ?

if you own an original cd-key, you can register it to your battle.net account then download the installer from Battle.net (from classic games tab in your account/games and subscriptions)

I do not think i would be allowed to actually share an ISO of the game here ,but there are always the old P2P file sharing sites

i own original 16 digit cdkeys (d2 + lod), i knew they used 24 digit cdkeys after ?

When you say that you redeemed them...
1. did you use Blizzard's means to convert 16 to 24 digit keys?
2. what is the message that you get when trying to logIn using the 24 digit keys?




Oh, I have one more question:
3. After redeeming/converting your 16s to 24s, did you uninstall the old d2 classic and lod, then download the d2 classic and lod installers from Blizzard?

What i did is this :
Purchased a external cd-player (works by usb cord), because my laptop had no player
Used original old discs to install the game
Once game is installed, before you even start it up for the first time
Right click your cd-player in the work outpost and explore the files of the original diablo cds
Copy all .mpq files and paste them inside your diablo II installed folder

This will resolve all disc necessity in the future, meaning you can run the game without any cd-player or disc (physically)
Then you can right click your desktop icon and add at the end of the path -w for running in window mode

Open diablo for first time and connect to battle.net it will begin updating itself.
