With the recent maintenance of the servers going better, has anyone tried deleting a non-temp character and recreate the same name right away ?
Or is it still glitching up, trying to load and never mention if its taken or not. Having to wait few days for it to unlock

On legacy d2 lod ehcl, I have not had any trouble with recreating with the same name after deleting the name. I do not know if on the other realms, I am on East, there may be issues. But, no issues when I do it on East HC ladder.

I experienced it, now some names are just stuck.

In case the name might unstick, don't give up trying once in while. I think there was a jsp'r who mentioned that they had to wait a while and then their name was available again. Keep trying every so often if it is a name you want to hang onto.

Try every 15-20mins for an hour

I did name change some weeks ago. Qrd: wait 24hours after erasing the name to rename the new one.

Still don't work even after 24h being deleted

We did a lot of tries some years ago. The best way (or lesser bad lol) we found to do it, if you want to change a bad name high lvl char with the good name in a mule, is to let the mule expire, erase it and after 24hours rename the high lvl char.




During those 24 hours name can be stolen by another user. Try it at your own risk.
