Yeah yeah. Well back in the day, i didn't play hc.. i do now, but not then. I didn't dupe either. I usually don't cheat. Quest bugged boss runs is the biggest cheat i do.
I am old school too, no cheating, just regular play. I like to test out very unorthodox stuff, things you never read about. Bow paladin, grim reaper necro, melee sorc (no bear). Stuff like that. Really wanted to try a new bowa team build, check out pvm section. But hard to find enough players. Tried 3 seasons now.
D2 hasn't really changed that much, other than that players are spread out now, people took the bait, d2r was the devil and people paid, the devil always has to get paid. Yet the price is scattering of the masses, so now the community is broken. If it was meager before, now it is non existent almost. And the rich greedy sob's are laughing all the way to the bank.
That is what i think of that.
And the dumbing down of the fans, with the new content of d2r, new runewords that suck and such.
I'm looking very much forward to the new original ladder season. Quite conflicted on what builds i'll run, but am 100% certain to run quest bugged boss runs this time. Maybe landing now on doing like the boss of the act i am running, say 5-10 times each. Keep it balanced sort of style. Not get hooked on one thing too long. Keep it flowing. That's bruce lee you know .. be water. Water can crash, or it can flow.
But i am happy you know, i play civilization 2 off time. Got many other strategy games too to keep me occupied .. mechcommander is an old gem of a game, almost on par with d2, but of course not as replayable. Once every 2 years or so. Jagged alliance 2 is another, extremely good game. 1 is great too, but a bit dated, still a classic though. Settlers 3, great game, keeps you constantly thinking ahead. Starcraft 1, do some melee games. Good old strategy games, i do not see any reason to start paying the devil to play crappy new games with great graphics and plots more shallow than a kiddie pool. Final fantasy 9 is the only great game i ever played on console, after that it was garbage all the way ... devil may cry, i beat that on hardest, took me forever. Final fantasy 10, i got to penance but didn't bother to level up enough to beat him. Ridiculous. Game is okay, but the graphics cannot save the cringy moments and shallow acting. 9 has the best graphics of any video game, i think. The perfect balance of realistic and cartoony. They outdid themselves on that one.
So to summarize. You got no life outside games and movied. Got it
