There are already alot of player enforced rules in BVB and Melee duels, especially AoW. Eg: no grief, only rares, no eth without rep or zods etc.

Why not ban charms too? Seems like there would be more people playing these builds if you didn't have to invest in 100k worth of charms to be competitive.

Maybe it's too hard to enforce?

It’s meant to be a pay to win matchup. They banned grief so that the more rare/expensive eth rare weapons would be used to further drive home the pay 2 win nature of the matchup. It’s literally the entire point of bvb and melee since there is nothing else to it

I agree it's kind of the point of the whole category but I also thought they banned grief just to add some variability to the weapons used

That’s what they say but it’s really just to reward pay 2 win. Removing charms doesn’t increase build diversity anyways

It's true, plus you could argue that charms add potential for build diversity.

It would open the class to more players tho

The whole reason of AoW is pay to win duels, i understand your point, but this would make many AoW players mad because amount of $$$ is insaine what they have spend to those matching 3/20/20’s

The whole point of banning Grief and using only either Zod’d or repair mode weapons / armors / helms (/ gloves ) is to check who has most dollars on these chars.

This is false. Cooley and llama both showed that these "p2w" rares are in fact better on average than those who use grief. The problem is that grief > than everything else than the 1 in a billion rares.

These 2 things aren’t mutually exclusive. What I said isn’t false. Hope that helps
