Hey everyone,

I’m looking to build a charge paladin specifically for PvP and could use some guidance. I have a general idea about the charms I want to use, but I’m unsure about the best gear and how to allocate my stats.

A few specific questions I have:

1. What gear setup would you recommend for a charge-focused paladin in PvP?

2. Should I focus most of my points into Strength, or would a mix with Vitality be more effective?

3. Any tips on maximizing survivability while still dealing solid damage in PvP scenarios?

for gear i like to have grief pb + exile or grief + phx in ev and i consider this on weapons 1
for weapons 2 i like to use a death decapitator with 15/3 base

i use grief vs hardened targets like windys or other melee like ww barbs, for elemental casters and hdins i use death its a one hit kill. if the target is physical like in the example ill swap to grief pb + ss bered.

i never dump into str since i always use a bo barb and enchant sorc so you can have a charger with 11k+ hp if you are near town and have your oak druid out hit 15k life
with high end gear and support chars you can have the most life but most consider it cheating, and those players are dead.

i have a 3/20/20 set so if i do use a melee char ill use this. i found pcombs were more effective but had less life.

a charger is a build with low survivability unless you are hybrid and can teleport.

i avoid using this build simply because if you dont get first hit its hard to work and counter teams of chars vs 1 charger. if you dont get first hit or the other player does not make a mistake odds go down for a successful pk. what i have found to be more effective for me is a teleport smiter with high fcr. you can blindspot, namelock and have charge on swap with a death decapitator for player abuse. another build i like to use is smite + foh. now i dont add anything to get foh its totally from my foh swap stick. the damage from my pcombs is around 3k-4 ish foh. now dont use it for damage just use it for pressure so basically its a pure smiter. also when players get low on life they either back off or run to town and even minimal ranged damage usually does them in. another idea is pure smiter + guided arrow on swap + enchant. it actually does a lot of damage and you have fanta so you can abuse players at range and force them to close range or name lock you and you will have smite. so smite > charge

if you have a necro with you with high level amp damage then a charger will kill anything in one hit.

I use smite + charge. Grief ba, Phoenix, 9 x pcomb, enigma, raven 10 fcr ring, highlord, trang, arach, sandstorm, 20/30+ sc, ench from demon limb

Max smite, holy shield, charge, fanaticism, 1 point into zeal, then dump remaining points into vigor.

Despite not maxing dmg and ar, I still kill zons and casters with charge alone. Casters are still 1 shot kills. Wind druid needs ll. You won't kill anything with max block and high def with charge anyways, so that's when I use smite.
