Hi guys!

I'm pretty sure everyone who still plays LoD are experiencing R/D issues since end of last season.
Many of us hoped it will be resolved with ladder reset or at least some time after. However, this was not the case.
Complaints have been either silently ignored or even "resolved" by providing a link to D2:R purchase page (wtf?). Yet, the game is still being officially sold.

I ask all who is still playing or cares about the game to actively post (politely!) in the support section over here:

your keys are flagged. completely rest keys for a week. dont cross keys with different accounts and ip's. compartmentalize this key with this accounts with this ip.

How do you know his keys are flagged? There is an issue with US East in general and it's very likely the specific US East server 158.115.217.53. No other realm has the same issue at the moment.

west had for the past few years tons and tons of network problems. i asked around and it effected very few people. the major factor we shaired was uptime. i am in game 23 hours per day 356 days of the year so users who are not on a lot only see a smaller picture of the problem. another factor that effected my setup was a cheap wifi antenna. i upgraded some computers to lan only and others wifi6 and on both systems the problem went away. it sounds like such a simple fix and if you dont validate everything you will miss basic hardware problems. i had realm downs and d/cs every ladder like clockwork. i swapped in better equipment and for the last year now the connection has been totally lag free and zero 20 day restrictions.

instead of writing off my fix for this problem, try it yourself and prove this solution does not fix the problem.

as for cdkeys if keys are flagged you will get realm downs more often until the keys are rested. what i do in this situation is fall back to another set of keys + ip + accounts as an alternate. i have my main accounts + standby alt accounts just for realm restrictions.

I've started having the actual R/Ds when I moved to other EU country just recently. Before, I was just having random disconnects while in lobby. Also, while it's possible that keys are flagged, there is definitely no reason to assume the issue is hardware-related as I have multiple computers and connected via Wi-Fi, LAN and LTE. It seems though that the R/Ds are somehow related to client region too. Nevertheless, it's almost 100% server-side issue and, well, it's Blizzard who should be allocating resources to fix their 30-year old trashcan servers.

So please don't be silent and let's use the support forum. what makes you think it's related a specific IP, could you please share some details?

When I made my initial post I assumed you played on US East (from a US East location). Assumption was based on your recent posts.

By everyone I assume you mean everyone on US East. Does "everyone" on US East in fact experience disconnects? Do you mean everyone on all realms? If so, that's wrong.

From your latest post it seems you are playing on US East from Europe and you've recently moved from one European country to another, and now experience more issues. If so, the problem seems to be partially on your end.

158.115.217.53 - Currently the server you connect to when you save & exit on US East, amongst other things.

I don’t give a crap about Blizzard servers but there are plenty of instances of game developers letting their servers die/neglecting to fix issues after this much time has passed since game released. Especially when the game has been remastered. The game/server is 25 years old and has a remaster. Maybe it’s time to move on.

What is working for me is that I now wait 2-3 seconds before hitting the "join" or "create" button in between games.
This also applies to exiting the lobby screen (pressing escape) to go back on your character selection screen.
Basically, i always wait that my character model load at the bottom of the lobby screen before joining/creating game or exiting.

I've been getting almost no r/d since I do this.
