Old School method: of drop trading behind a two-way open-ended wall, and picking up your item, as the person gets close to you, and then, as you begin, to run around the wall to the other side, and begin to to pick up their dropped gear, while they are on the other side, racing back to their spot, trying to get the equipment back, lol!

The first time I traded a steel clash as a storm shield

i wrote a autoit drop script that if another guy ran the script it would hide d2's window then drop all gear then exit game, go into a chat channel and spam really really fast and this gets them ip restricted for like 1 hour.
another script could do more interesting things like use other users to spam other users via whispers.

wrote a script for aurastacking for 3 different exploits.
a script early on where both users could set a password then use aes text based encryption in game in base64. it would work by looking at d2s network traffic and capturing all the text from a user and decrypting it with a known password. d2 would mute users if they said keywords so it was useful.
i self leveled my first 99 back when clan channels were a thing. everyone said no no you cant do it solo. well i did.
had a lot fun with redex d2nt then moved to d2bs in 2011. also had fun with mmbot and awesomeo.
used different dupes also made some hybrid items.
what really set me apart from other players is i would say "this is annoying im going to automate it" then lol i would.
