what does a mld (lvl 30s) paladin ideally have for a shield?

pala spirit 65ed 121 ar base
pala 65ed 121 ar base 4 sockets with ed/min-max lld jewels
rare pala shield 2 sockets with high ar/ed 20/30 block adds + good jewels

Just to add with the spirit. For most you will want to use a crown shield as the base.
For a charge/smite you want to use a Akaran Rondache shield.
For pure smite you want to use a barbed shield 1pally/2pcombat 30/20 2sox with ed/stat jwls

They said use spirit lol. and you should.

but those sweatlords also didnt know your build (hdin, libby, charger, smiter, zealer, etc). so the answer isnt possible without knowing.

even so in all of those cases but smiter you want spirits. if ur doing phys dmg use 65ed/121 ar base, if you're pure Hdin use 45 all res.

dont bother with a 4x jeweled one, too expensive and spirit is basically as good.

also because you're lvl 34 im guessing you're on HC, and spirit is easier to replace.
