Great levelling while magicfind spots in Hell level on D2 LOD Legacy...
Don't let the first act fool you. These following spots have some chunky special packs of monsters which may drop endgear. Or, at the least, better gear.

Act 1

• cave
  
• underground passage
  
• hole
  
• pit
  
• a glitched Andy (an Andy where u took her portal to a2 without talking to any NPC except Warriv and then exited game)

I believe Crypt + Mausoleum also fall into those "special areas with higher level monsters" that you listed. They are also usually mostly undead and easily cleared out than hole/pit as they do not have the giant yeti things or the misshapen/tainted/disfigured things that are generally quite fast and can be deadly with the right mob bonus.
